Environmental Works Promotes Charley Welch
to
Kansas City Operations Manager
SPRINGFIELD, MO – Environmental
Works, Inc. (EWI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Charley
Welch to Operations Manager of its Kansas City, KS regional office
location. Welch received the promotion as a result of his outstanding
performance at EWI and officially began his new position on February
25, 2008.
Welch joined the firm in 2000 as an Environmental Technician in EWI’s
Springfield, MO headquarters and has since risen to several supervisory
positions - Field Supervisor and Senior Field Supervisor before accepting
the new Operations Manager position. EWI formed the position
to further develop its Kansas City regional office capabilities.
In his new role, Welch will be responsible for the overall management
of EWI Kansas City Field Services including field staff supervision,
equipment and supply inventory management, company equipment maintenance,
and emergency response management. Additional duties include
staff training and development, implementation of company standard
operating procedures, and technical research/reporting for small
projects and spills. Welch will report directly to Springfield
based Director of Operations, Shawn Jester and work in tandem with
the Kansas City Regional Office Manager, Paul Dial.

and knowledge of company procedures, I am certain he will greatly
excel in this job and continue to expand his skills,” said
Robin Melton, EWI President and Owner. Welch brings with him
over seven years experience in the environmental services industry,
with primary focus on field services. He also holds multiple
training certifications including OSHA 40 hr HAZWOPER Certification,
PPE, Hazardous Communication, Benzene Safety, First Aid and CPR training.
