EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
Mr. Smith is a geologist whose primary responsibilities
include subsurface investigations, planning and implementing sampling
and monitoring programs, preparing risk assessments and conducting
underground storage tank closures. Mr. Smith also has experience
preparing stormwater pollution prevention plans, SPCC plan, EIQs,
risk management plans and air permit applications.
KEY PROJECT SUMMARY:
Mr.
Smith has developed and implemented SPCC plans for multiple convenience
stores, bulk plants and a major rail carrier. Mr. Smith has also
been responsible for scheduling, conducting and assessing SPCC
inspections at ten railyard facilities in six states.
Mr. Smith manages
the investigation, monitoring, and remediation of more than 20
leaking underground storage tank sites. His primary responsibilities
include release characterization, development of cost-effective
remedial alternatives and preparation of risk assessments. Mr.
Smith is experienced with assisting clients and managing budgets
of sites in the Missouri Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund. Mr.
Smith also acts as the primary liaison between his client and numerous
local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
Mr. Smith is
responsible for assisting multiple facilities with compliance. These
responsibilities include EIQ and Form R preparation, completion
of air permit applications and monthly air emission calculations.
Mr. Smith assists
with emergency spill response for a number of clients, including
a major rail carrier and underground storage tank sites. These
projects include the initial response through remediation and closure.
